The goal is to capture what’s there – your performance, in a setting that has something to offer the music, with as little as possible standing between the two.

That begins with finding the right space, whether somewhere you know well or one chosen for what it alone can offer. From there it's careful listening on high-resolution equipment chosen for transparency, with as little processing as the music allows. What we're left with carries the performance and the room that answered it.
